From the first ride on my new Street Bob I've been amazed at the handling, even compared to my Sportie (Nightster). I am enjoying the twists and turns much more now, feeling more confident on this bike than ever before. It's a great handling machine. I doubt I'll EVER lean ANY bike far enough to scrape the pegs though!

THANKS FOR THE INVITE! I did not no that there was a group just for the street bob. Just to introduce myself my name is chris and i purchased my 06 streetbob back in May of this year have already put 7k on it and am loving this bike. It is my 1st bike that was not a rocket so the transition has ben interesting but well worth the choice. If i can get just a little more lean angle out of her I will be happy. I keep draging everything on the bike.

Well, I managed to get past my 500 mile "breakin" period last weekend. It's been drizzling all day today, although warm. Tomorrow is not supposed to rain, but it is also supposed to be quite nippy. Here's hoping I can get out for at least a little ride - I want to get the new Bob on the highway and see what she/he (not yet determined) can really do! I'm not a speed freak - but I really would like to see what kind of power it's got on the highway.

I'm just a little over 500 miles on my bike, too. I've always gone by the "ride it sort of gently for the first 15-20 miles and then ride it the way you intend to ride it the rest of the life of the bike" rule. So far it's seemed to work well for me. I've had the new bike up to about 85-90 mph so far, have scraped the right footpeg on it twice in corners, and have banged it off the rev limiter in first gear one time. :-)

I'll get to the 500 breakin miles this week...finished my ride today with 465 miles on the odometer. I was told to avoid any full throttle riding (for the first 400-500 miles) and get to about 800 miles before I ride it like I stole it...
