Welcome...I'm in Missouri City, TX

OK, I rode to/from work today but MAN it was cold out there. Gettin' too old for this. It was 36 degrees when I left. About 31 miles from my house to work. I think that tomorrow I'm gonna drive the truck to work. Supposed to hit 32 tonight. *brrrrr* I gotta get some heated grips put on this bike.

Well, had a nice ride Sunday, but never did get up on the highway. Ended up on some beautiful Berskshires hilltown roads, very pretty. So far the most I've had the Bob up to is about 60. In fact, I've only put it into 6th gear twice, not because I had to but because I WANTED to, just to feel what it's like to have SIX GEARS!!! Well, maybe tomorrow will be nice enough to do that "speed test" :-). Every day I get to ride at this point of the season is a true blessing.

Oh - I did fart around with the handlebar position - decided I had them a bit too low (trying to get them closer to me). Had hubby move them up just a bit - what a major difference in handling - MUCH BETTER!!

Hey Perch....can you really still ride? How is the weather? Here it's really wet and slippery like hell because of all the leaves on the streets..... And when it is dry it is too cold for me...

German Ladyrider (or would you prefer Elli??), the riding season is pretty much over for ME - but I'm a wimp compared to some! In the early morning it can be anywhere from the upper 20's (F) to low 40's, highest temps from mid 40's to upper 50's. So it can be chilly, and I hate to bundle up so much that I can't even move. I dress in layers and carry extra layers with me. It's been frequently cloudy, and also a bit rainy. And the wind the last few days has been a factor also. Yes, the leaves here also are a problem to be looking out for! So during the week I haven't bothered to even THINK about riding to/from work (I only have under 2 miles to work, so it's just not worth it, frankly, much as I love to ride!).

I'ts a holiday here today, so I'm off work and it is supposed to be in the mid 40's, and "partly" sunny. Right now it's rather grey out. I really want to ride - but will wait a bit to see if the sun is going to come out and temperture will rise at all (it's about 40 right now).

So where are you? Where is Schwelm? Sorry - my geography is not very good. I see "German" Lady Rider - so I don't know if you live in Germany or elsewhere? My late husband was of direct German descent, although born and raised here in the US. He had always hoped to take me to Germany for a visit which I know I would have loved. (I've never been overseas to ANY country!).

Well, I think I'll go get dressed and venture outside and see what's up.

I'm in Corpus Christi TX. It is on the gulf coast. I was stationed in Zirndorf back in 1990-1992. I absolutely loved Germany...especially the beer! I've had my Street Bob about 3 months now, and so far have wracked up 6k miles. I passed my sporty down to the wife. She's taking the Riders Edge course on the 20th. Can't wait to have her riding beside me on our next run.
