Oh, and yeah the forward controls are a lot more expen$ive than the highway pegs. I'm 5'11" and the highway pegs I got were a little too far out for me to be comfortable on their most extreme setting. They have 2 settings. I put them at the closer of the two settings and they work great for me. I also did the 1000 mile service on the bike today. Everything went great with it. I'm good for another 4000 miles now.

If you did the 1000 mile service yourself won't your HD warranty be invalid????

No. I kept my receipts. They can not invalidate your warranty just because they don't do the service on the bike. If your dealer told you that your warranty would not be valid if they didn't service your bike then your dealer is full of sh!t.

I just thought that the services had to be done by an authorised HD garage and booked stamped by them to keep the warranty going : )
