Hi from Ireland.I have a 2011 CVO Ultra Classic and my wife is very nervous on it.she is convinced a trike wld be better.my ? Is,to trike the CVO with independent suspension or trade my CVO for a Tri glide.i no to trade I will loose a lot of value.also anyone in Europe with a Tri glide and what are they like on bad twisty or pot hole roads.

Personally, I'd convert it with something that had a independent rear end. I do not like the solid axle that the TriGlide has. Your wife is probably correct in thinking she would feel more secure. No matter which way you go whether you convert or trade for a tri, you are probably going to spend about the same out of pocket. There isn't much conversion specific maintenance to worry about.

Trike conversion / Tri-Glide
Check out Lehman (now merged with Champion) trike conversions " on line ". They helped Harley-Davidson with the development of the Tri-Glide. Early Tri-Glides 2009-2011 were produced by them, until HD took over fully in 2011. As for service/parts , most HD dealers can service/ get parts. Also, lots of Champion dealers in USA.(not sure about UK)? My 08 is IRS(coil overs)" 2015 model LLS Renegade" conversion, rides/handles great. Wife loves the "trike", and now I ride my 2 wheel Harley for "solo" trips. However, the 2017 Tri -Glide 107 sure has some nice "up-grades" over earlier models!

A CVO Ultra Classic trike conversion would make a beautiful conversion, if you decide to go that route. Our 2011 Street Glide had a bunch of custom mods we didn't want to give up, plus it had less than 3K miles, so we went with a Hannigan Transformer conversion. Its independent suspension has a plush ride and devours rough roads.
