My dog has only three legs and still weighs in at 75lbs, sitting behind me is deffinatly not an option....besides the Misses is usualy there......I have to admit that it's the one thing that really makes me think about sidecars.........being disabled my dog is always with me and I hate leavin her when its time for a ride....plus she always wants to come and gives me that look........Don't know why it makes me feel guilty........that dog has it better then a lot of people I know.

The gentleman at the following website tours with his dog in a sidecar.

Theoasisofmysoul.com Not a link

By the looks of his old rig they put some miles on together.
Great photos too.

Having never ridden a trike I have always wondered how they rode.

However as of September 2007 I became a Ultra w/ ULE side car owner. And after putting in 3000+ miles I am here to tell you I find it very hard work and specific techniques. Hacks want to toss (lift up) in corners. On the occasional long trip we (me and my wife) have learned that the passenger in the sidecar needs to lean to the right regardless of left or right turn. It makes a difference. It settles the side car.

I'll be tooling around with the sidecar rig this December for 2 weeks. Looking forward to it.

I have considered a side car. I would jump at the chance to get my bike modified by someone to ride kid, ol lady & me all together. That would be a dream come true! A new Road Glide modified for all three of us.

I have a 96 FLHT standard with a side car now I put a 100 in RevTech in it to pull the sidecar. I have the gas mileage problum about 28 to 32 depending on how fast I go. I get about 6500 or less out of a rear tire. My wife likes to ride in the sidecar and I can take the grand kids for rides they like to ride in the hack.It is fun to take the two grand kids at the same time.I got the sidecar after I broke my leg and could not hold the bike up with the wife on the back.she did not like being droped. I have had it for about 6 years and have 40k with the sidecar. I have found that the proper set up is a must or it is not fun to ride. I have not rode a trike in the corners to know any thing about them. I don't know if I would like to change or not just looking for input thank you for your help.

Consider a police bike rear tire. They are supose to be a little bit more durable. Most of the work on a S/C bike is all transferred to that one rear tire.

Well I still have my Old 1973 Hd Servi-Car trike #27/425, Originally was an Atlanta, GA Police unit.. Back in 2003 the old 45" Flathead was getting tired, So I bored & stroked it to 55" w/cams, #6 hi-comp heads, decked & relieved & running one of my tweaked CV carbs & etc, etc... I did also add a much taller motor sprocket off a WLA (was stock at 22T, now a 33T)
It will run 70mph... 3 forwards & reverse. Right hand shift & Left throttle, foot clutch (police style)...
This is my "Parts Chaser" & it is fun to run around on !!!
Whipping into a turn is always a blast "flying a wheel" !!!!
