I have one of the HD pumps here as I have had several tour bikes. It's a great tool and easy to take with you on a trip. It would take forever to pump up a tire but I've seen it done on the road in an emergency. May be able to sell it that way IHP.

It really doesn't take more than a nano-second to over inflate the shocks on a tour bike and blow them. This is why I thought I would bring it up here.

I have an on board air compressor which lets me adjust the pressure on the fly. Not sure if it is an option for the TG's but may be worth looking into.

Hey, I just braved asking hubby how he checks the air shocks in his Ultra. Gage he says...duh!!! Well, how do you pump them up? Air pump, he says. DUH!! So what pump? My HD pump......yea!!!! We have one. Now I can get him to check the air and not worry about him blowing me up.LOL!! I know, he says I never trust him....well, let's just say I have seen some interesting moments in our life together and it is usually my stuff that gets dented, banged or otherwise screwed up!

The touring bikes have a maximum capacity of 50 pounds, again, not sure of the TG's. The recommended way to inflate the touring shocks is with the HD air pump.

Here's an aftermarket pump

If you try to inflate your air ride suspension with an air compressor you may cause serious damage. There is only a very small amount of air that is used and it is easy to over inflate them.

Maybe a TG owner can verify this.

It's in the Owners Manual. Just you no baggage weight. Around 15-20 psi

Best to start with the lowest air pressure and ride to see if it bottoms out on you. If it does then you can add a little bit air at a time until it gives you a ride that doesnt bottom out and isnt so stiff you feel it up your spine

It's cute, you'll love it but I don't think they come in Sun-glo. You'll have to paint it.

My hubby knows you're not supposed to do it - put air into your shocks at a gas station - had no other choice, looked around the area to buy a pump, checked some NAPA stores or the like - no luck...

He said he knew what he was doing...!! Have to trust him as he was a Fire Chief for over 24 years - so I didn't say anything...

It worked wonderfully as I stated in a prior post here...

Today we stopped into the Cahun Harley Dealer off I-10 near Lafayette, Louisiana - bought a Shock Pressure Pump - cost $46.95 plus tax... Yes, it's 'cute' but small enough to carry while traveling...

Their 'store' is stocked with numerous items that aren't carried by other dealers... Real nice place to check out...
