Extreme Inline Enrichment Device (XIED) Opinions
1. Cheapest way is to leave it alone.
2. Next would be to remove the cat (if an 2010)
3. Next would be to remap with the fuel manager of your choice. This will help cool the TG down after the cat, if you have one, is removed and add some power.
4. Next would be to change mufflers or baffles and remap again.
5. Add the AC, there will be little to change on your map.
6. Modify the motor and get rid of the smog cams, map again.
7. If you do a lot of stop and go riding or live in a hot climate then look at a larger oil cooler or oil cooling pan (Baker sells a good one)
These are just some options anyone can do to help reduce the heat and add TQ and HP but it is TQ that a trike needs. Many vendors can help you make your decision... Jamie has a number of products that will help you as well as other vendors. Choose the one that gives you the best customer service before and after the sale. Prices vary.
When choosing a tuning module we recomend choosing the product that you can get the best support on for your application or have a willingness to learn. We work extensively with all of these products and welcome any questions

As I stated prior the XIED's are only a bandaid and for me, just something to get me by until I can find a competent tuner! I was thinking about the broadband 02 sensors, do they have a broadband substitute out yet for the narrow band 12mm sensor on the 2010's?
A proper tune will work on more variables than just the AFR as I know most on here are probably aware of, there is no substitute for a proper tune IMO.
However do you think I may get a little more fuel out of the XIED's with a wide band 02 sensor? Do they make a little larger injector that will fit the 2010 throttle body! I am not trying to get around a good tune, just handicapped by geography and willing to experiment!
I would like to try a broadband 02 sensor with the XIED's if possible and maybe a little larger gps injecter. Am I wasting my time and money?
Just though I might give it a shot to add a little to our knowledge base and give us some alternatives.
Thanks again for working on the 09/2010 header pipes, I don't know what we would do without our aftermarket guys, Harley engineer's us into a box sometimes. We would not be able to work our way out on our own!

I hope it warms up soon so we can get some test runs in for all these mods.
I'm interested in finding out how those 255 CAMS work out on the Tri.
It's been a long winter!
