Cool Changing forward controls to mid controls

I have acquired a "05" 883 Custom with forward controls. I am too short for them, any suggestions? Can I change them to mid controls?

Easiest thing to try would be a reduced reach seat. they are in the HD parts and accessoeies catalog and there are a lot of aftermarket choices also

I bought a set of mid controls off ebay....Rob's Used HD Parts.....for my wife's 2006 883Custom....she is 5-2' and is taking her Basic Rider Course second week of May....forwards would be too difficult to learn on so combined w/ her height and being a newbie to riding.....I switched to mids for her.....don't go to dealer....they wanted over $350 in parts plus 2 1/2 hours labor at $90 an hour.....I paid $125 shipped for brand new take offs that are chrome.....it's pretty easy to find the used as most people obviously go the oppisite way and switch from mids to forwards.....good luck w/ bike

I just got my first bike ('04 1200 CC) and will be taking a class in the next few months. However, I have the standard forward controls and am also 5'2", so I have a lot of trouble reaching the foot controls and feel very uncomfortable. What I'm trying to figure out is what parts I would need for the forward to mid control conversion and how difficult was it?
