Just got the Big Boy seat from Kutter HD and installed it. I have a fork brace for an XL. The distance between forks is spot on but the diameter of the Street forks is smaller. I am rigging up some spacers and it should be good to go.
The first step was to cut off the rubber boots of. In my opinion they look ugly and remind me of 70's metrics.
Nest will be a windshield. HD;s requires the removal of the cowling around the head light. I took a National Cycle 15" wind deflector shield of the Dyna and it looks like it can be made to fit and looks okay with the cowling in place.
I want some type of shield for the ride to Sturgis. I also installed the HD longer foot pegs. During the two rides that I did before winter I found that my right foot slid off the right peg on occasion. There just was not enough width on it for my big feet boots.
The first mods on my Street 750 was the relocation of the ugly horn from outside the frame on the L/H side to behind the radiator inside of the lower frame tube and the replacement of the plastic radiator grill with an aluminum grill. The relocating of the horn only took about 10 minutes and improved the appearance by 100%. The kits for both of these improvements for the Street 500/750 are on eBay and they're really inexpensive changes that are very easy to do.
