And I agree with Izzo in a brotherly way. Having been through many seminars and classes as well as having two of my best friends who are past motor officers there is clearly a case to be made for coordinated simultaneous front and rear braking, as well as counter steering and trail braking in turns.
It's one thing to post up videos of the nice rides you go on. It's something else completely when you start to "instruct" people in the proper way to ride a bike. Unless you have some sort of credentials to show your expertise you're going to get a a lot of flak. Your "Rear Brake" vid is a good example. Most people are taught to use both brakes evenly and many experienced racers use the front brake more than the back. In your vid you're trying to tell us to just use the back. So you got a lot of flak for that, and you didn't like it. Well get used to it. If you're going to present yourself as some sort of expert, you'd better be ready to back it up.
Good luck. My comments are given in the spirit of constructive criticism, not hate.
Great post, I think there is a misunderstanding here. In my post "How do you slow down" I prompted the question "I made this video asking the question how do you slow down? Do you downshift and let the motor slow you down or what? Let me know, have fun watching!" I did at no time state that anyone else should do it this way, I asked how do you do it. Expecting to get opinions on how other riders slow down. I do not make instructional videos, I am no instructor, never claimed to be. But instead I got hate posts calling me names and throwing stones at how I ride. If you don't like how I ride or my videos don't watch. But just to post to get a reaction is noting more than being a bully or troll or what ever you want to call them. As I see a lot of the ages of the posters here I can bet that some had 70's style choppers that didn't even have front brakes, I would of really of liked to of heard from one or two of them. I am sure they would of had to use the engine to slow down or RPM matching or whatever you want to call it. I was even told that I was not a brother on a bike, that it is earned, well with attitudes like that the human race will never make it. I see everyone on a bike and respect them all the same, which you can see in my videos.
(stepping off my soap box now)
Thanks for the post and the constructive criticism.
I downshift and use both brakes. I learned about downshifting when I started driving. Our cars had stickshifts.
As an aside and as has been pointed out by a couple of others, you need to chill out on the bike. You can't go after every idiot out there that cuts you off or doesn't follow the rules of the road. You're going to **** off the wrong guy. A car vs bike fight never ends up good for the bike. When someone cuts you off, just back off and let it go. Stop being a vigilante. You'll live longer.
+1 Izzo. I remember brake checking a car while on the freeway. Smoked my rear tire a bit. One of the stupidest things I've ever done when I think about it. Riding around pissed off is not good. Ride smarter not harder.

I will take that, although I did not chase them down, in the "Road Rage" If you notice, the first one was in a parking lot, I left the parking lot before even commenting. What you don't see in the videos is the time between what was shown, this is editing of the video to make it more appealing to the viewer, they don't want to see the 5 or 10 minutes between her bing on my butt and getting to the light and merging onto the highway. I edit those parts out so I don't loose the viewers attention. The second one, she was right on my tail pipe, I moved over commented on her driving and she drove away many lights later I caught her just because the light stopped her before I got there, not that I was chasing her, notice the edit jumps in the video. Then she was a fast driver and took off, I took it easy if you notice in the video I wasn't right behind her, she then took the exit I jumped on 19 and then yes flipped her off. She then crossed the median jumped on my but again, then I decided to pull over to see if she was going to follow me. She drove off, I stayed in my lane and let her go. The the last one the dude pulled right out of a parking lot with cars in his way and crossed 2 lanes of traffic right in front of me. I then drove around him after we were on the highway and kept going. So everyone on this forum has never had any of those situations happen and flipped anyone off because of it? I would find it hard to believe, besides the video was labeled "Road Rage, there all out to get me" what did you really expect to see when watching it?

Yes, that is not a good feeling when the back tire locks up. I don't ride pissed off all the time, you all seen one video labeled "Road Rage". Go back and watch my other videos then judge me on my riding skills, instead of a video that was actually posted as Road Rage and no one but me and the other drives saw the whole thing.

Ok, have a great day, and take other videos down for cussing, or was that just because you judged me and took mine down?

I don't think that I've ever ran across someone who is a full of himself ( and condescending ) as you are ... but in an effort to retain my true feelings I've decided that a magnanimous act would be better suited than casting further comments that might puff up your skirt. I got this especially for you. No need to thank me though as I know you'd ramble/rant on for days. Now you can really blow your own horn.
