Hey Guys - I posted this under "Fuel/Intake" but got no response, so I'm trying it here. I run a 2006 FXDWGI with D&D Slip-Ons. Getting ready to installthe 25 degree injectors via TSB. Debating on adding the S.E. breather and download. Will it really add a "seat of the pants" difference in everyday riding ? I know it will show up on a dyno printout at WOT high RPM, but what about real world roll-ons at 2-3,000 RPM ? I alwys ran S.E.'s on my Evos, but the Evo stock breather appeared more restrictive than TC88's, plus the older S.E. kit included a K&N filter. Please share your experiences. Thanks !
I did the 25* injector swap and it really smoothed things out. I'm running SE II slip-ons with SE breather and "race" download. At first, the tech that did the 25* injectors put the standard stage one download on for the 25* injectors. I pointed out to him that I was running the SE II slip-ons and that the appropriate download for my setup was the "race". At the time, the "race" download was only available in cartridge format and the dealership did not have one in stock, so I road the bike for a month with the standard stage one, then got the race loaded on. Big difference in performance and the bike runs cooler. Gas mileage declined, but only by 2-3 mpg. I would not recommend running just the slip-ons without completing stage one. It's like opening a carbonated beverage, once you pop the top, it will loose all its fizz. The SE breather and download will put the fizz back in!!!
