No spark

I'm new to the Harley scene and have a question on my ignition on my 97 Superglide with the Evo engine. I had a problem with my voltage regulator over charging my system, I was on a ride about an hour away from home and the battery started cooking, this was the second battery because the first time I thought it was a bad battery. I figured out that it was overcharging but made the decision to keep riding it to try and make it back. In this process my headlight then blew out and shortly after the tail light. Before i could pull over the bike started running horrible, sputtering and not firing right. I pulled off and ended up pushing it about a mile to the garage. I replaced the voltage regulator and the battery, as well as both bulbs but the problem now is I have no spark. I know i cooked something but I am not 100% sure what it is I cooked. I now know that that was a bad call to keep riding but hind sight is 20/20. Anybody else have this issue before? Where do I start? Any help is appreciated.
