Harley quit

I bought my first harley , 2008 road king , 96 ci , was riding , engine fluttered , tried giving throllte to keep it running , quit anyways, wont start . Where do i start , i know abiut carbs , fuel injection is new to me.... Help

Start with the basics:

Is there gas in the tank?
Are the battery cables tight?
Are all the plugs pushed in all the way?
Do a fuel pressure test.
Do a compression test.
Check for spark. (You need to keep the spark plugs in and use a spare plug to check due to sensors cutting the spark if there is not enough cranking pressure).

Basically, do everything you possible can without spending any money replacing parts.

All good suggestions above.
Check all fuses and relays for clean and tight connections.
See if the motor threw any codes.

Please tell us a little more, when you turn the ignition on do you get lights and does the fuel pump run for 2 seconds? Does it crank? Try to fire?

Also check the battery voltage. If it appears a bit low have it load tested.
