check valve install problem
Hi and well I and just about done installing my new check valve on my 02 softail deuce and of course the last thing is giving me a hard time. There is a plastic hose that attaches the valve to another fitting in the gas tank and it will not go on. The old one came off with a good tug but I don't want to really force the new one on as the fitting is plastic and If I break it more problems. Is there a trick to this? I tried oil and helped a bit but will only go on maybe 1/8. Thanks

Woot Woot I got it on. What I did was used the heat from a work light and heated the plastic up really good and pushed it on clamped it up and I am good to go. All back together now and took a quick ride and no gas leak.
