I am having problems with my tail lights. First my turn signals are set up for run/turn and when the turn signal is aplied you barley see the turn signal. And my other problem is with a turn signal applied and I apply the brake the brake lights up bright but flashes with the turn signal... also this is all wired into the factory wiring..
well I have traced it down a little bit further and I found my main wire coming off the starter to a 50 amp breaker then goes up the frame to a connection on the left side is fine.... But the right side connnecter were it goes straight to the ignition this red wire is pulsing with my turn signals
was it a plug in run/turn/brake module you used?? or was it all spliced in? sound like some connections are wrong or rubbing together. the run/turn is easy...... the wires to the turn signal dual elements are reversed. switch the non ground wires on your turn signals.
also sounds like the brake light only wire is crossed somewhere with the turn signals. hard to say without it being in front of me, but check all of your connections from the rear fender plug on the main harness to the tail light/ rear turn signals. there is where your problem lies.
Yeah its a spliced in module and I have consulted the manufacter about it and its wired in correctly... Also I have gotten the marker lights to work as brake lights/turn signals with no problems there... My brake light works fine now BUT when I put a turn signal on and hit the brake the main tail light blinks with the turn signal.
