Very low tech solution that may help someone
The Deuce (FI) hiccupped once similar to the Sportster carb fart about 2 weeks ago. Odd. Next day it hiccupped a couple times. Odder. Did a search on engine miss and found little help..most threads getting very technicalbefore turning into exhaust preference, seat comfort, what color to paint my bike, is Deluxe a girl's bike or what weather is like. Hiccup turned into a full on regular miss at idle and light throttle (cruise) and OK on hard acceleration. Pulled plugs and front was clearly nasty, it had picked up a piece of ? on the ground. Changed plug, all is well. Moral of the story...don't rush off to multimeters/ecms/ohms/baking soda etc until you look at the same stuff that caused a miss in 1947, John Deere tractors and lawn mowers. And no, I don't think an iridium rice rocket plug would have been ok with a chunk of nasty on it.
