Default Power Commander Map

I have a 05 Ultra w/power commander, stage 1 ecm. If 26g cams are installed, will I have to get new map for PC? No other work at this time, just cams.
Thanks
Dave

yes, remap it. the cams will change the fuel curve almost as much as the a/c did.

What Jmetro says makes sense to me, but both Andrews and Fuel Moto seem to downplay the importance of remapping. Andrews says '06 Dynas and '07 TC's "...usually do not need re-mapping due to their advanced control system design but if remapping is necessary, a dynamometer with an engine braking system makes it easier and more efficient." I'm not sure what "advanced control system" means, perhaps referring to the O² sensors which are not in use for many aftermarket fuel-management systems. I will be calling them this afternoon for a clarification, as I'm not going to purchase or install cams until I hash this out. I'm also looking into the 26's (26H for my '07) and there don't seem to be any PCIII maps available for that setup (mufflers, etc.).

Fuel Moto told me the differences between stock and a mild performance cam like the 26 are small and may not be significant. That was several months ago and I've got an email in to them for a verification. No response yet.

I remapped mine after installing the Andrews TW26. I e-mailed Jamie at FuelMoto with my config and was sent a PCIII map which for the most part spot-on. I added some fuel to get rid of popping on decel, but great running after that.

I have an '06 with Rinehart TD, Big sucker AF, and the TW26. Runs nice.
