Dies at idle. Cold or hot
Have an 05 Night Train EFI and its been sitting for a couple years. It would die at idle without giving it any throttle. Seemed fine otherwise. Drained the old gas and put new in with a little sea foam and same issue. Anything goofy I should check first since its been sitting for so long before I get in to it good?
Thanks

No luck after cleaning it. I replaced it and same issue. Have to give it throttle to keep it going. Half the the time I dont get to that point. I removed my tuner to be sure that wasnt an issue. Could it still be related to the two year old gas that was run through it for a few miles and i just need to run it around with the new fuel when i can get going for long enough? Thanks.

Ive had new gas and seafoam in it for some time now and it almost seems worse than when i first got the bike out. Initially, with old gas it was just dying at idle. Now poor throttle response when it does fire up and then coughs and dies. I guess my next shot will be the fuel filter/lines since it was run for a bit with the old gas. Also maybe intake seals? Anything i should be checking before those things?

Idle problems fixed - This worked for me
I have a 2001 HD Utra glide Classic EFI. This bike would not idle, and if you gave it gas it would back fire.
Solution:
Gas treatment
Charge your battery all the way up! (for the backfiring)
Then adjust (on a EFI) the little set screw in a pinhole behind the mounting plate for the air filter (google it) Takes a T9 torx
Change the air filter and blow out vacuum lines
This worked for me

The 05 is Delphi and not like the Mm system so the post from the guy with the 2000 model won't apply.
Check for vacom leaks and confirm fuel pressure. Both or a combination of the two might be going on. I'd confirm your fuel pressure before I spent too much time anywhere else at this point. It is very possible to have the already mentioned internal fuel pressure leakage.internal fuel line, pressure regulator or some such.
