1991 FXSTC with RevTech sensor timing problem
Hi, I am working on a 1991, HD, FXSTC that was broughht to me that had "just stopped running", and one of the ignition plate stand off screws had been broken off. It has a REVTECH (CCI# 59-752 or 59-755, numbers taken from like photo on net) ignition sensor plate and coil, but someone in the past has eliminated the ECM. The red and black wires run from the ignition to the coil but the white wire is run to the HD turn signal box under the gas tank. There is a Badlands turn signal modulator under the seat. When the ignition is turned on the right turn signal flashes for a while then stops. I need to know how to set the timing with the way this is set up. At 35 degrees before TDC or at TDC either one, I cannot get any indication of the timing being set. Once I get it started I can tune it in. I've never run into this before. Can you point me in the right direction as to setting the initial timing? It would be much appreciated.
