Default 2003 Tuner

I just purchased an '03 Road King Classic. It has an upgraded air cleaner on it and some D&D slip ons. The guy I bought it from said that the HD place downloaded a tune when they added the pipes. The back pops something fierce on decel. It seems to run well especially on the top end. I was looking to get a tuner to help this and make the bike run better. I thought getting a tuner would eliminate the need for a dyno. It sounds like, from what I am reading, that may not be the case.
Would someone please clarify this for me?
Could you also suggest a tuner? I am not a racer or radical rider just want the bike to run it's best ......and the popping drives me nuts.

Thanks in advance.

Powervision with baseline map loaded based on your current setup and the self tune from there. Fuelmoto should be able to hook you up.

To use self tune you would need to purchase the auto tuner and install the O2 sensor bungs in your headers as the 03 does not have O2 sensors.

Here is an option - you would wind up with an extra ECM as well as the tuner.

Im very happy with my Power Commander.
I suggest finding the reputable dyno tuner near you and get his opinion.
