Default Throttle -Slow return

I am having a difficult time with my 2018 Road King throttle. I wish it had more tension to spring back .It is too sensitive at least for me. I am aware more tension may cause hand issues while riding. Small tight spots slow speed it is constantly revving when I just touch it.
Any ideas would be helpful. Wish it was cable drive I would fix it myself.

Never had an issue with the TBW bikes when I ride them. Is the grip pushed to far onto the bar and sticking on the end of the grip?
Might want to loosen the controls slightly and move it out.
I generally loosen the master cylinder and controls together and slide.

Default Throttle.

Thank You very much for your reply. I am looking to increase the tension. I want the throttle to be more difficult to rotate. When I am in my garage manuevering the Bike my right had has more than once raised the RPM
without wanting to do so.
I would like you to know I am a mechanic but do not know about this electroniic Throttle.
I am just looking to operate safely. I appreciate your help.

With a flash tuner (TTS, PV, etc) you can slow response of the throttle so that it isn’t as touchy. But you cannot simply increase the mechanical spring tension. You may be able to re-engineer the throttle spring but AFAIK there are no aftermarket kits to do so.

Thank you..The more I read the more complcated this electronic throttle is. A short read just stated that there is a return spring inside this device as you said..

Better of just getting used to it to be honest but I now see what you are talking about.
I think the more you ride it the more you will become settled with it.

Yes you are correct.
While cruising a throttle with a heavy pull back return spring will cause hand fatigue.I am just going to have to learn how to manipulate the bike using my left hand to turn the front wheel.
It is so sensitive and I am so low on experience it has caused an issue multiple times.
Thanks for the sensible response.I appreciate it.....

If you have a tuner, you can set throttle progressivity to make the throttle less sensitive at lower positions. Another thing you can do is learn to use the friction zone on the clutch. Keep the Rs at say 2000 rpm and use the clutch to move the bike.

One of the problems with the M8 is that the friction zone is too narrow and the clutch engages too far out. There is a spacer you change in the clutch to widen the friction zone and bring the lever in a little. HD made the change in the 2019 bikes.
