Default Ping sound
Hi all just wondering if this sound was normal on down shifts I hear a ping sound coming from the spark plug area when I give some throttle have 2017 slim with 103 and cobra slip ons

Sounds like preignition. You may be lugging the motor and just need to keep the revs up, using inferior gas, or are in need of some tuning/timing work.

Yea when I down **** i give a little throttle to rev match that’s when I hear the ping

Doesn’t sound like a ping scenario from your description. I’d be looking for possible exhaust leak at the head.

Thanks for all the info just put an FP3 in and flashed a map so far I have not herd the nose must have been the tune
