Cannot get fire
This morning my 2001 Roadking wouldn't start. Checked for fire. No fire @ the plugs. Checked the fuse box and everything was fine. I then checked the coil module. It was fine and I am getting 12 VDC to the center post to the module. Borrowed a test ignition module from the local bike shop and plugged it in. No luck, still no fire @ the plugs. Thinking that maybe it is the crankshaft position sensor I disconnected it and checked the resistance across it and found it to be 0.653 Meg. Ohms. I'm not sure if this is bad or good as neither the shop manual or the bike shop has this specified. Also, as I bought the bike used, I'm not sure if the security system has locked out the ignition system and do not have the pin numbers for it. Anyone have anyideas?
