If the dealership did a tune then there should be a tuner. Touchdown, Bowtiejc is talking about the two plugs for the usb and accessory connectors not the main harness and ECU connectors.
Not necessarily. When I had my 2003 you could just have the dealer reflash your ecm. No tuner purchase required.

I think they could re-flash a stock tune without a dedicated tuner but I dont think so on a custom tune. My 2002 has a SE tuner mated to it (Vin #) Anyone know definitively?
Maybe that dealership was charging people for tuners, flashing the ecm with them, then reformatting the tuners somehow to use again ---- seems legit. LOL
Zan , no i contacted the guy i bought it from several years ago . He said when he had the dealership put on the vance and hines pipes that they did a tune on it .
Since its been years since you bought the bike AND chances are the dealer didnt do an actual dyno tune but rather simply loaded a map from Dynojet and called it good.
First indication the bike has NOT been tuned...your gas mileage is in the 30s. After a good tune itll be in the 40s.
Easy answer is to take it to a qualified, experienced tuner in your area and you will not be disappointed!
