I have a 2007 ultra. I put on a S/E air cleaner, and Vance & Hines oval mufflers. Went to the local dealer and asked for stage 1 upgrade. Service mgr. told me that the stage one program is spacific for S/e air cleaner and S/e tips. He suggested not to do the upgrade..
I don't want to mess things up. Any suggestions would be helpful...
Thanks
You need to get something to adjust the air/fuel mix that that has been changed with the a/c pipe change. I got the HD download..........then went with a PCIII from fuelmoto. They can send you one with a map installed so its pretty much plug and play......except most everyone ends up altering the map a time or two till they get it where they went it. I did the download so Id be safe in the event my PCIII crapped out on me.
Also, you can get a SERT and have the bike dyno done, or there is a popular option called a fuelpack from Vance and Hines.
The choice you make is up to you. search in the forum for posts related to the use of each of these products and go from there. But either way, since you have altered the a/c with the pipes as well.............you need to get something to correct to air/fuel ratio for the bike to run properly.
Do the research, then make your decision, but get something in there.
Good luck!

There are a few choices out there. And many opinions as to what works best and why. Im sure you will find that as you research your decision. The important thing is that your headed in the right direction. A lot of people here get a dyno with the PCIII. I havent but I may at some point.
Talk with others here as well who have made posts about the product they use to get the pros and cons, there are a lot of people here with a lot more knowledge than I have.
Good luck, enjoy your ride!
