Anyone else have problems connecting or downloading maps to their PCIII? I'm getting all kind of device errors, I tried downloading updates but now the commander module isn't even recognized. Tried all tricks from their site, seems like the one I have is a dud?
I did, no luck, after I upgraded the desktop software to 3.2.1, no connectivity at all. The package came with version 3.1.3 with the firmware at 2.1.1. Version 3.1.3 did not have the firmware update capability. There is an upgrade to firmware 2.1.2 but after upgrading the PC version I lost any connectivity to the module and couldn't do squat. Device errors were x0014 or something very close to that ... This is just wrong

As Gundog mentioned, don't attempt the firmware upgrade with the engine running. If you did that, it may take some time for the PCIII to recuperate, and will generate repeated errors until that time. In fact, my bike wouldn't even start after that, but at some point about 15 min. later it miraculously regained its composure and the firmware completed.
Same thing happened to me when I tried to do a firmware upgrade and I did everything as they told me to do, but the firmware I uploaded was bad. The PC wasn't being reconized or anything...ended up being bad firmware. They sent me a new PC...all is good now.
