Honestly , I was in the same boat as you were , had a Fp3 and put cams in , no matter what I did I could not get it to run right . I made the decision to get the bike dyno'd , best decision ever , haven't touched it since , 2 years ago .
By the way , the 48H are a good cam , but yes , they should come on sooner . I went with the TW222 , all I can say is wow , power from top to bottom . Running 2 up with a full load while traveling doesn't even effect it , it moves .
When you decide to do a dyno , I highly recommend doing cams as well , you won't regret it .

I've been a huge supporter of the 222's in a stock 103 for a very long time.. I pretty much run Woods cams except for this last time I tried a 3Suns cam in my Evo but the 888's in my built TC 110"er are sick..

Purchased the PV3 from FuelMoto and it runs fine with their provided map. May try some autotune sessions at some point but after all the initial trouble with the FP3 I had I just wanna get back to riding. On another note…wish the 48H torque came on a little earlier. Stretches the forks at 4k but about 1k earlier would have been great. Will more than likely get it dyno tuned at some point but need to find some one relatively local for that first.

I don't know of any cams that come on much sooner than the 48's, except for the Red shift 525's but you give up a lot of top end, more than they'd be worth for the lower torque peak IMO. From the dyno sheets I've reviewed, the 48's come on just a hair earlier than even the Woods 222, but are extremely similar to the 222 otherwise.
