Default ECM replacement...

Does anyone now if the MOCO makes an ECM that will read MAP instead of TPS to set VE tables? I ask because adjusting VE's based on TPS is not as accurate as it would be based on MAP (load).. I know ThunderMax and TTS do but not sure I want to go that route yet.. Thanks.

Harley did that in later ECMs. It's not a show stopper.

Thanks Ed.. I think I'm on the right track though and probably should get a tuner that I can make my adjustments according to map/kpa.. I did notice though that the stock ECM when map load goes down will lower the the VE setting to adjust for less of a load.. I can actually see it in my trims.. So if I get my VEs close I don't think it's going to be a big deal.. I'll just let the ECM take over as it changes the trims..

if I remember correctly they went back to TP for a bit. If you’re having a specific issue let me know.

I spoke with tech support at DynoJet today to see if they were going to change anything with the power vision but found that it's the way the HD ECM manages the tune.. That's when they told me about going from TP to MAP/kPa and back to TP.. No I'm not having any issues, I'm just trying to fine tune that's all and thought that it would be easier to achieve on a MAP based system.. The bike is actually running very well without any knock retards and still maintaining 11.30's but I'm just waiting for the snow to go away and warmer times.. But thank you very much I appreciate it..

There's a track back up where I used to live ESTA in Cicero New York just north of Syracuse.. I think I'm definitely going to get up there this year.. I want to get an official time stamp... Lol ...

The throttle by wire Twin Cam ECM's supported TP and MAP based VE tables, however in 2017 the M8 ECM's returned to TP based VE tables and all models. Thundermax is a completely alpha-N ECU; the MAP sensor is not used fuel or timing.

Thank you.. I just thought it would be a better way of tuning by going by load.. Doesn't look like that's gonna be possible so I'll stick with what I got and enjoy.. Currently in not having any issues.
