Intermittent P0505
Hi all,
Im getting a very intermittent P0505 code- unstable idle air. Its a 2021 softail, 30/30 cam, V&H Pro Pile 2-1, Power Vision, FM BMF air filter. Im pretty sure its in my tune, but I cant pin down exactly when it started to the changes Ive made. Im going to backtrack by loading my earlier tunes, but this is going to take me a while since its so intermittent and I have long trail of tunes that I have made. As far as symptoms none. I pretty much have the bike dialed in. Runs great, idles great.. just pops up with this code while idling once in a while.
like I said, I know how to track it down, but unless I get lucky, its going to take me a while 😭

I know its been a while, but it just dawned on me that I never reported back after I found the issue and fix. It turned out to be VE tuning. I did some VE smoothing in the low tp and rpm area and the problem disappeared. Its been way long enough to claim victory. I just wanted to give a heads up in case anyone runs into this.
