ThunderMax New Map – Poor Idle AFR & Misfires
I ride an ’08 FLSTSB CrossBones and have the following setup installed:
- Feuling Reaper 574 Chain-Driven Camshaft
- Feuling HP+ Hydraulic Roller Lifters
- Feuling Quick Install Pushrods
- Feuling High Flow Camplate
- Feuling Race Series Oil Pump
- V&H 2-into-2 Big Radius Exhaust
Recently, I started noticing occasional misfires, so I reached out to FuelMoto. They sent me a new map based on my specs, and I followed the steps to flash it using the TMax software and it went smoothly.
However, when I started the bike (while still connected to the software) and let it run for a few minutes at idle, I noticed that both front and rear AFR gauges were sitting low in the yellow zone—not in the optimal green range (I've attached a screenshot taken during idle that shows it).
I took the bike for a test ride afterward, and it didn’t feel like it was running optimally. Idle also sounds a bit off—not as smooth as before—and I’m still getting the occasional misfire.
Any thoughts on what might be causing this? Thanks in advance!
