Is there a secret to removing the fuel filter housing from the tank on 2015 streetglide special ?

Yeah, the secret is it's a pain. You need a special fuel line disconnect tool to release the quick-connect fittings. Once those are off, the whole assembly twists counterclockwise to unthread from the tank. Be ready for some leftover fuel to spill out.
