Default Wide-band o2 sensors placement

Hello everyone, hope you’re having a good day.

I took my bike (2016 FXDB) to a well regarded shop to get a target tune installed, they did but I thought the o2 sensors were supposed to point down, not up. Am I correct ?
I also noticed the front sensor touches the frame, yay or nay ?

Rear sensor pointing up

Front sensor pointing up
Front sensor pointing up
Front sensor touching the frame
Front sensor touching the frame

Thank you.

Yes you're right and they usually should be pointing to the other side of the bike.

It don't make any difference. The main thing is that they are not placed at the bottom of the of the exhaust pipe where water can collect. Placement becomes more important with unheated narrow bands.

The front sensor touching the frame is bad. Should be at least 1/8 clearance or more. The motor is rubber mount, the frame will beat the sensor to death..

It is almost like the owner / we are being "Punked" by this shop,, If I went and picked my bike up and it was engineered like that on purpose, there would some conversations and it would get corrected, There is no way a well regarded shop that builds and maintains motorcycles installed that mess and then ran it on the Dyno and then double checked the install for delivery back to customer and said yep that's a job well done.
