Default ThunderMax before or after first service ?

I've already got the TMax and a Big Sucker Stage I on the shelf; my V&H slip-ons went on the bike today. As I'll put the intake and TMax on at the same time, should I wait until after I get my 1k miles/service completed? It doesn't like waiting in my garage to get installed...

Tks,

Mark

I think that I would wait, the dealership may want to hand you some static on the warranty. It would all depend on the dealership and what their take is on your replacing the stock ECM with an aftermarket ECM. I am aware of the Magnusson Moss act but I can see some of the dealerships threatening to kill the warranty or at least causing you lots of grief over the total change out of the controller. That being said, I am running the T-Max on my bike but I do all of my own work and service so it has not been an issue for me.

Good luck with it.

I put new slip ons on from day one, as i couldn't stand the stock items! but waited till first service to add the TMax and Bigsucker.
Saw lots of bikes at the stealers with all fitted prior to service with no problems, so i suppose it depends on your stealer and their policies regarding aftermarket items.
If i was doing it again I'd have the lot on from day one ! as it becomes a totally different bike performance wise.

Thanks for the input. Adding the pipes should hold me for a bit, and taking the prudent route of waiting is just additional incentive to put some miles on it.
