Ok with Daytona quickly approaching i decided to try it one more time. So to day I reinstalled my PCIII after the firmware was reflashed by FuelMoto. I uploaded the map provided my Jamie for my setup. Wild Pigs, and Ness Big Sucker. I warmed up the bike and reset the TPS to 0 and 100% Bike started fine sounded good. I took a good 60 mile ride Highway, Backroads, and a little city. had decel popping and a big POP now and then. Looked at the plugs when I got home.. They were white. It was almost as if the PCIII was doing nothing. How can I tell for sure?
With the bike running I looked at the PCIII leds. at idle it was near the bottom and moved up with throttle. Is this correct.
Need to resolve this or just remove the pipes and air cleaned and return to bone stock for Daytona....
The Carb conversion is looking better and better......
Bring the bike into a shop with a dyno and a air fuel sniffer. Or go buy a air fuel sniffer to see a/f Also if your baffles are bigger then 2.00 inch on your slip ons you will get a popping sound from the air rushing back in. You can try to tune that out on a dyno but some times you will not be happy with the results you see. If youare close go to Jamie he can tune it for you. Also a lot of times the maps people give they leave the the stock settings in there at idle so you run lean at idle only. You can try to go to 0 throttle pos. and set 750 rpm 1000 rpm 1250 rpm at 5/7 and that will make the bike run about 14.2.1 --- 13.8.1 air /fuel at idle also on fuel injected bike when you let off the throttle the fuel shuts off until you get to a low enough rpm range like 1600 rpm or below. That also cause the bike to pop with high flow exhausts. But bring it to someone who can tune it for you.... Again Jamie he is real good and a great guy to work with. Tell him Frank From Dragos Bike Works Says hi....
Just curious what year is the bike? Is it injected? Does it have the o2 sensors? If it is newer and has the sensors I was told you had to remove the 02 sensors and install the plugs to feedback the sensors...
