I have an 07 superglide custom (2500kms) that has had a small amount of trouble with the battery. I have it fully charged but when I push the start button the starter grates like the battery doesn't have enough charge to turn it over. Last night I put it in gear rolled it forward 1 metre and then tried to start and it went 1st pop.
Is there something wrong with the starter?
Something wrong with my battery?
The only electrical change out I've made is the installation of thundermax autotune.
Any suggestions/help greatly (no pun intended) appreciated.
The signs are you may have a loose or corroded connection, ground, batt or both. At first thought I suspected the solenoid but if it worked after you moved the bike, that's probably not it. It's worth checking the connections, some threads here have indicated the connections loosen up orare loose from the factory and tend to corrode. Good Luck Mate!

Just a quick one though, which connections are we talking here?At the battery? Leads connected at the solenoid?
This is really disappointing. I have done the install of all the gear I have put on the bike and even did the 1st service, and for something like this to happen after only 2500kms, well, I just feel like a failure! i feel like everyone is thinking "i told you you should get it done by the pro's" and crap like that.
I think I'll take it into the dealer for him to sort it out. It is under warranty still anyway, so I think I'll see what he has to say.
The first cable to look at is the positive (red) at the battery connection. Often they come with a Phillips head machine screw and are not tightened enough. Vibration from the engine (starter) end of the cable contributes toit getting loose, plus corrosion thatgoes along with a battery. Don't know exactly where yourbattery negative ground cable connects, but its likely onthe engine, held in firmly by a nut. Trace it down from the battery. As for the starter end of the positive cable, it is usually firmly in place by a nut. Careful with any of this, sparks will fly if you touch a metal tool to a positive cable end, then to the engine or frame.
