Digital speedometer module
Has anyone installed a Digital speedometer module? There's one in the J&P Cycle catalog (pg 393). I’m wondering if I need an adapter or will it plug in directly.
If you’ve installed one—how do you like it?

Not sure if this is what you are asking about but ...
I use a mechanical to digital converter on mine '84 FXRP. The wheel turns
the cable which goes into the converter and converts it to a pulse which is the
input to my Autometer speedometer. The device fits inside my headlight
houseing out of sight. No problems.

Not sure what bike/tranny you have. There are adapters for the front wheel drive as stated above. There are also sensors that can be installed in some transmissions. I have a Dakota Digital and love it.

Thank you for the reply. I should add I have a 2005 Deluxe fuel injected. On this bike I'm running an electrical speedometer. I'm woundering if I can unplug the stock unit and plug in the new one. Is the bike wired from the factory for the Tach?
