Advice on Performance Ignition Systems
Hi,[/align][/align]Can anyone help with any comparison information or advice on the various ignition modules / coils available. [/align][/align]I need to replace my current module & coil but don't know which iterms to buy. My bike is a2001 116" Twin Cam with10.5cr, heads are flowed & ported, S&S .640" gear cams& Mikuni 48mm.[/align][/align][/align]Cheers,[/align][/align]Byde[/align][/align]Scotland

Stay with thestock components, most reliable and more then up to the task for any street engine combo that I can imangine. If you're on a trip and have an ignition failure, no problem finding and replacing parts.

I was running an S&S intellegent spark unit and the bike never idled smooth. I then started having problems at 2000 rpm where it would retard and then lurch advanced. Very strange. I contacted S&S and they don't want to help. A friend of mine loaned me a dynatec and it cured all my problems. It idles smooth at 800 rpm now. It is very adjustable for any performance combination. I wish compufire made a unit for the twin cam but they don't.
