Did anyone here plug the O2 bung on your pipes with PClll rather than leave them on? I plugged mine rather than leave the wires. I saved them in my stock pipes in case I need to put them back on. Just wondered if this was common practice?
That is good practice. Because when there is no power to them theystop working after awhile. Some people leave them in because they thing if the pc3 ever goes bad they can unplug the pc3 and plug the 02 in again. But if the pc3 does go bad say after 2 or 3 years there is a good chance the 02's left in the bungs will not work anymore.
I would reommend taking them out and putting a plug into the bungs and keep the 02s with bike. you can plug the bungs with a oil drain plug 18x1.5 any auto store will have them. use anti seize....... or they will never come off........
I did the same. My un-used wires are in my PCIII box, stashed away in my "parts bin" in the garage. I didn't see any need in keeping them on, and now I'm glad that I didn't. Thanks for the info Dragonbikeworks.
