08 Power Commander Use on 09 Bike
I posted a simular tread on the touring forum, got lots of readers but no replies. I was at my local HD dealer Sat and the owner always takes a new street glide every year as his personal ride. His bike was up on the lift having Rinehart slip ons, SC Air cleaner, and a Power Commander installed. Since there is no Power Commanders as yet available for "09"'s (as per Power Commander web site and fuel moto web site) the PC being installed was the model no. for an 08 street glide but being installed on an 09. They did not seem to know if this was going to work or not. Can anyone venture a guess as to whether this will work if dynoed. It will be interesting to see. I have often wondered why if there is no change in the motor or ecm or ecm hookup, why would there have to be a newly developed PC each year causing us to have to wait to make mods using PC. Could it be that the manufacturer of the PC knows they would loose money if people transferred prior year Power Commanders to the newer bikes. I should know in a couple of days how this install turned out.
