I loaded a new base map from scratch, basic settings at default, started bike 2 times for 10 seconds, initialized unit 3 times for 30 seconds with 30 second intervals, then turned it on and ran it up to 289 degrees, then turned off bike, unlinked and now I'm going for a ride!
Thanks for all your help. BTW, how low can you actually set the idle? I read on another post of a guy lowering it down to about 700 RPM. Nice in a FI bike to have a bit of vibration and Harley sound at idle. Is this possible or will it bugger up the oil pressure?
700 rpm will cause damage eventually. Not rods, pistons, but any high loaded component. Works like this. Let's take one example like the cam bores in the plate. Running at 1000 rpm and being fed oil, the time exposure that it is under pressure at bottom of the bore will be less and the oil film cannot be squeeze out at the bottom. Now idle it down too much as well as reduced oil with an increased time to pressure the film could be compromized and metal to metal could occur. The obvious result is more wear. Actually the whole valve train will see this effect. While some of the engine will be happy at 500 rpm, the minimum rpm needs to be set for components that need more rpm to survive. Bottom line, leave it where it is.

The best thing I can offer aside from re-installing another base map is call Fuel MOTO and ask for Jamie. I had the same problem when I first install mine, all I did was use the "Clear and Learn" mode and it should adjust to your ICV and TPS. As I said if all fails call Jamie.
