Default Interesting TSM/TSSM Question - Custom use on other vehicles...

I've been thinking about using a set of stock harley controls on a custom project bike of mine, seeing as how I have a hundred sets lying around. The only thing I can't figure out is how to use the turn signal buttons. I briefly considered using a couple of those cheap little blinker relays, but I'd have to hold the button in until I completed my turn, and that would be kind of annoying. So I then thought about using a TSM/TSSM, which I also have in abundance, hopefully taking advantage of the auto cancel feature. There will be no other HD electronics on this bike. My main area of concern seems to be pin 5, I think. It's the W/GN wire going to the instruments, I assume for vehicle speed. My project will be using cable driven speedo, if it even has a speedo, so how would I bypass that? Even if I could bypass it, would the module still work how I'm hoping, or is it a complete waste of time?
