I am wondering how much I should change the decel table to elimininate the popping and occassional loud pop (bikefire?) after a heavy roll-on and roll off throttle.
Do I adjust the entire table?
Should I take baby steps and try small increments first?
If I adjust the numbers too high, what will happen? What are the risks?
Does someone already have a tried and true map for a Stock motor with V&H BigShot Staggards (w/quiet baffles) and SEAC? (It's a 06 FXSTI)
My bike is making great power, just under 79 for HP and Torque after the dyno tuning my dealer did. I have had it back there after the initial tuning to get them to fix the popping...but it is still there. So, if I can do it myself and save myself a trip...I'll be perfectly happy.
If the ve tables at the 0 map are way off, you can lower the Deceleration table and it won't do a thing for you. You have to add increments to the 0 through 10 map on both the front and rear cylinder at 2500 RPM and up. When you let off the throttle abrutply after heavy acceleration, the throttle position sensor is at 0 and the A/F ratio goes way lean...over 20-25:1 A/F ratio. Try increasing those ve table values about 5 increments or more and try it out.
