Stereo noise
Has anyone had a problem with cracking and popping of your stereo? I installed the harley amp that was designed to mount under the tour pack on my 03 FLHTCI and it worked great for about 2 months. Now the system cracks and pops, but only when the engine is running above idle. I have isolated it to either the wiring harness or the amp but have been able to solve problem. Take seat off and wiggle and bend wires and nothing consistent.

I would think it's the speaker wires. It could be the feed to the amp, but it's definitely the audio. One would be isolate which speaker with balance and front/rear fade. If you can isolate a single speaker then it's that speaker wire. If it's all speakers it's likely the audio line. It's two lines, but one signal with both channels encoded. If it were power I would expect it to fade in and out, but no pops and crackles.

My speakers on an 08EGC went bad. I pulled them out and put Hog Tunes speakers in. There was a huge difference just on he size o f the magnets on the back of the speakers. The new ones work very well.
