Default Fuelpak and mode 23

I have a fuelpak on my 08 Fatboy with V&H Big Radius and a Screaming Eagle hi volume breather. It makes this horrible noise when the throttle is released and I've learned it is fuel being shut off and the motor just pumping air. It sounds so bad, I'm considering reinstalling the stock air cleaner and disconnecting the fuelpak.

But I just read in the dyna forum that mode 23 can be set to 25 instead of 16 which is the value given by V&H. Which won't turn the fuel off anymore.

My question is, is mode 23 the same for all bikes? That may sound like a dumb question, but I don't want to just start changing values because of something on another forum for a different style of bike.

So does anyone have advice on this? Thanks

I think I remember that mode 23 is the same for most applications. You can always change the setting and see if it makes a difference. Try calling the V&H tech dept. and get someone on the phone to clarify it for you.
Also, that SE intake just might be sucking in a little too much air for that motor.

Ok, thanks. I was just concerned about changing a value and not knowing what I was doing. Guess calling V&H would be the best idea.

Is there a list somewhere on the net that tells what all these settings are for?

Those settings are proprietary information for V&H. They might tell you about 1 or 2 of the modes and what they do, but they will not give you a breakdown of each one. It's their special secret and the public is not privy to it.

So now the motor doesn't work at all?
J/K, glad it was as simple as that.

I know this thread is old. But mode 23 if for fuel shut off on deceleration, the value entered is for RPM as in if engine at X( value being 2digit) on a fuel pak original led style that is, when pcm & fp see closed throttle and speed etc. it cuts fuel until rpm reaches a lower rpm number which is another mode number I’m not privy to then turns fuel back on. That where people get the “popping” on decel
