Highway lite problem
Hello all, I have a problem with my highway lites on occasion. I bought this bike a year ago from a close friend and this is the problem he and I both have had with it. He had the bike since 93, 10,000 miles on it when he bought it and it now has 69000 on it. He told me when I bought it that on occasion, the highway lites will start blinking (left then right) kinda like a cop bikes lites alternating and flashing. When I turn them off and back on, their ok. Its only happened to me a few times since I got it but he said it happened to him alot also. He had it to two diff Harley shops with no luck. They replaced his cruise control module, saying it was bad and in the same circuit as the lites. I've noticed it only does it when its really hot out and the engine is really hot. Any suggestions or anyone else with a similar problem???? Thanks in advance. Ed

Sounds like something overheats and creats a problem. Not sure about the alternating lights though, if it was a relay or other problem the lights should blink at the same time, not alternate. What year is the bike and what kind of HD is it? That would help.
