Ive searched the forum with no luck,
Wondering if anyone has used something similar on there Harleys. Think it would be cool way to help clean up the bars. Any pics and install info would be nice
YES....me and a lot of other folks I know. I use it mainly as a back-up in case the wiring, starter button, or starter relay should have some issue. Works like a champ and as long as you have a battery and a good starter clutch...it will crank.
One drawback.....if you push that button and the bike is in gear....it will move. It won't start without the ignition being on, but it will spin the motor. You can find these a lot cheaper and even in chrome on the "e-shopping" websites.
I just read a write up on these yesterday in the American Cycle Magazine. They had a how to install D.I.Y. article Basically easy 3 screws off and on. I had starter relay problems last summer and I'm wondering if this would of helped. Might be worth installing just in case it happens again.
