fuel injection problem
i have an 02 electraglide and with a problem. sometimes when i come to a stop the bike idles low around 750-900 rpm like its going to die but doesnt, but just occasionally. most of the time its idles about 1050 rpm. well today i was riding and coming to a stop and as the bike is reving down around 2000 rpm i could hear it wasnt really running as much as it just in gear and turming over. as i pulled in the clutch it died. or atleast totally quit turming over. started it right back up with no problem and went on my way. 20 minutes later the same thing happened. if i pull in the clutch and keep the throttle around 2000 rpm it wont die but the minute pull the clutch in with no throttle it dies. im wondering if this is a tps problem or something else....i do have a power commander on the bike and never have had a problem with it from day one.

Could be the Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR) ($29)
The FPR is a mechanical device located in the tank...when the fuel pressure starts to go too high...the FPR opens and re-routes fuel back into the tank...no codes.
Funny thing...this is a STOCK item at the dealerships...does this mean the FPR failure is common?

Could also be a pin hole in the fuel lines. How much fuel was in the tank when this happened? Open the fuel door and take off the cap, cycle the ignition on and see if you can hear fuel spraying inside the tank when the fuel pump kicks on, if you do, you'll know the leak is internal.

You said you had a powercommander???? Did you try removing that from the equation? This is what i would do first. Also i have seen some 03 and 02 delphi bikes with the throttle plate broke causing an erratic idle. Quick check to remove the air cleaner and see if that is intact just a quick check to eliminate the simple things!
