The TFI works well on most any bike. They are restricted on very big builds where a PC would work better, but for most bikes, they work well. The base settings tend to be a bit rich so you can usually back off a hair on them.If you have and difficulty with the setup, jump in here and ask. They also work as well with the download , but it isn't necessary.

Installed the TFI the other day .. I noticed a big time improvement . Throttle response is awesome . This is the way the bike should run . We'll see what happens to my MPG though . . I have a few concerns . You know with the fuel injected bikes it senses the Temperature and adjusts the idle and timing as needed . Is this still in effect with the TFI installed ? Also how critical is it to adjust it at 1800 or 2000 rpm i just went by ear . All in all seems to be running pretty good . Just after i stoped for fuel last night it turned over a few more times than usual before starting . Used to crank right up barely even bump the starter . now it cranks over a few times . Thanks for all the Help ! THis place is awesome .

The TFI does not affect any of the sensory functions. It only adjusts band width on the injectors (richens things up) The setting at 1800-2000 is not extremely critical and can be done by ear. It's just recommended to do it around that rpm so you can hear where to adjust the green pot for best fuel mixture. The extra cranking is nothing to worry about and is pretty much normal . If your fuel mileage suffers too much , the yellow (accelerator )pot can be backed down a small bit at a time. The recommended settings that come with the unit are a bit on the rich side for starters and can be backed down a bit for better mileage if needed.
