ECM Help
I'm in the process of converting my 2001 RK to an Ultra Classic. I was told it was important to buy the complete wire harness for my year model, I did and the connection for the ECM will not fit my original ECM? I found an ECM online from a 2002 Ultra which appears to have the same connectors. Will I cause myself even more problems changing the ECM?

Yes..........2001 Touring had Magnetti Marrelli feul injection.
You have bought OR been sold a harness for a 2002 up bike that is why the connectors are different as the ECM went to Delphi in 2002
You could of course buy a newer throttle body but then you have to change air cleaner and the list will get bigger.
Tank, pump........all can be modified but you would be better getting the correct harness.

I would think you would need the correct harness but maybe someone else knows something I don't.
