Bike stranded me the other day. It just quit at a stop sign, and would not re-start. Got it towed home and noticed that the fuel pump is not priming. No sound when you turn on the ignition. Looked at the fuel pump fuse, and it was ok. But with the ignition on, there is no power at the fuse. Pulled the battery and gas tank to check wires and connections all the way into the tank. No obvious problems. Any suggestions of what else to check would be appreciated. I am at my wits end with this...
Disconnect and reconnect your fuel line.
Check for power at the connector going into your tank. If you have power there, the connector inside of the tank might have come loose.
Edit: the no power at the fuse is something I missed at first. If you can get to your ignition switch wires, check to see if all three have power when the key is on.

I have everything pulled apart. Took fuel pump out and checked all connections. I can get to the ignition, but since the bike cranks, and the lights come on I figured it was ok. Is that not the case? I think there are 3 red wires coming off the ignition. I will check the power there tonight.
Still working on this problem. Replaced the system relay for $7 and change. No dice. Also noticed that my spark plugs are not firing. So, whatever it is it's killing the coil and the fuel pump. Sure hope it's not the ECM...
